Grover Loudermilk, PLLC Enlists Fort Worth Probate & Guardianship Attorney Shawna Young
April 20th, 2020
The Fort Worth law firm of Grover Loudermilk, PLLC is pleased to announce that Tarrant County probate and guardianship attorney Shawna Young joined the practice in March 2020. Shawna’s legal experience, proven dedication to providing superior legal services, and her distinguished credentials embody all the principles that underlie the firm’s practice. She is an outstanding addition to the team.
Since establishing the law firm of Grover Loudermilk, PLLC in August 2019, attorneys Mike Grover and Bob Loudermilk have forged ahead tirelessly. In addition to expanding the firm’s legal service capabilities, they are broadening the firm’s geographic presence with establishment of an office in Wichita Falls. The firm also plans to reopen an office in Grapevine this year.
A Shared Dedication to Excellence in Probate & Estate Law
Like Bob and Mike, Shawna is a homegrown Texan. She grew up in Bastrop and moved to DFW almost 20 years ago. Also like the firm’s founding attorneys, the foundation of Shawna’s credentials in probate and estates began in Tarrant County Probate Court, when she served as staff attorney for Judge Steve J. King in Probate Court No. 1 — and that’s where she got to know both Mike and Bob.
After working for Judge King, Shawna practiced as a probate and guardianship attorney in Fort Worth. Not long after Mike and Bob opened their new firm, they reached out to Shawna with an invitation to join the firm.
Knowing that their passion for probate work and devotion to providing exceptional legal service match her own approach to practice — which she describes as “focusing on excellence through precision and integrity” — Shawna enthusiastically joined the firm. Her practice includes the full range of firm’s probate and estate practice.
Shawna’s background includes not only probate experience, but other distinctive professional and academic credentials as well. Before going to law school, she earned her Master in Library and Information Science (M.L.I.S.) degree. Not surprisingly, writing and research are among her great strengths in her law practice.
Shawna also has a decorated record of military service that spans more than 20 years. After enlisting into the United States Army Reserves, she served 11 years before commissioning as an officer. Her overseas deployments include serving in Afghanistan as the officer in charge of information services for the theater’s largest hospital at Bagram.
Following law school, Shawna joined the elite United States Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. She currently holds the rank of Major. Utilizing her focus on domestic operational law, Shawna provides stateside legal counsel during national emergencies, as exemplified by her most recent mobilization to advise an Army group supporting FEMA’s efforts in Texas during Covid-19.
Shawna looks forward to practicing with Bob and Mike. The same vibrant spirit and energy that underlie her singular accomplishments are now embodied in her dedication to providing probate and guardianship services to clients in Tarrant County as an attorney at Grover Loudermilk.
Wichita Falls Office Now Open — Grapevine Coming Soon
In addition to expanding the firm’s legal service capabilities, Bob and Mike are adding new offices to make it easier for clients to visit with them. They recently opened an office in Wichita Falls. This location is especially important to Bob. His Mom’s side of the family is from Wichita Falls, so his family has deep roots in the area. Because of those roots, Wichita Falls presented the perfect opportunity to expand their firm. Through this office, the firm can provide its full range of services to the Wichita Falls and surrounding areas.
Grover Loudermilk also plans to open an office in Grapevine in the coming months to continue providing convenient service to the Northeast Tarrant County client base that Mike Grover developed over the last decade. The location will be posted on the website as soon as the office is open for business.
