Kelcy Johnston
Attorney Kelcy Johnston is an associate with Grover Loudermilk, PLLC. Her practice includes estate planning, estate administration, assisting with guardianships, and serving as an attorney ad litem in Texas guardianship matters.
She attended law school at Texas A&M, where she participated in the law school’s Probate and Estate Planning Clinic. Kelcy grew up in a small town east of Houston knowing simply that she wanted to help people. After considering a career in education or medicine, Kelcy settled on law as the best use of her skills. While still in law school, she narrowed her focus to estate planning and administration, and her skills and strengths dovetail perfectly with the needs of the firm’s clients. She is especially adept at case management and client communication.
Kelcy understands that planning for an uncertain future, or dealing with the loss of a loved one, can be deeply challenging times for her clients. She approaches their legal matters not only with competence and efficiency, but with calm and a deep compassion. Kelcy’s demeanor invites clients to trust her, and her attention to detail assures them that their legal needs are being thoroughly addressed. Kelcy appreciates the opportunity to meet clients at a difficult time in their lives and help them achieve peace of mind regarding their future or that of their loved ones.
When not working, Kelcy enjoys being outdoors and active (she was on a national champion wakeboarding team in college). She is also a self-described “book hoarder” and an animal lover; she can often be found at the dog park with her husband and their black Lab, Dalmatian, and Yorkie.
